Take me back through temporal ether, where summer days are long but we welcomed the night.
When this man lacked daily fever, and we had time to heal, and love made things right.
20 years of information leave my skin traced with lines, what memories they hold...
But there's one thing I can't manage, this one-speed, one-way ride, that keeps moving forward.
CHORUS
If I could,
I'd take back,
Every word that cut through you.
This anger I put you through.
If I could,
I'd hold on to every word you said so long,
for this name to carry on.
The gift of hindsight is a torment,
a perilous design of all things unseen.
I hope in time I'll heed your warning,
of moments I should try to comprehend this dream.
CHORUS
Why won't this clock work change?
I'm drowning in it's face.
Time won't cooperate,
so I've no choice to make.
I can only hope to keep
everyone I love,
everything I need...
If truth is surely told, I know
that time is on the run, and love must be let go.
This album is a perfect example of music for the sake of music. There are little to no intelligible words, but lyrics are simply (catchy) melodies, almost as if we should move to the music, not flair. Arcade Island
I love how this album exemplifies feelings and moods, the songs aren't necessarily about events. Sometimes I think that says more about life than anything else. Arcade Island
